TRYST WITH DESTINY : a tale of NAMO

Long years ago, we made a TRYST WITH DESTINY and now the time comes when we shall redeem our pledge......
---- Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, on the eve of independence

In Kerala, we have an ever interrupting electricity supply even in day time. Being a daily routine I was spending a lazy evening sleeping and thinking about my misfortune of being born in such an uncaring province. Suddenly I heard a loud voice, I ran out of my home, saw few youngsters of my village bursting crackers and raising slogans, all I head was “NARENDRA BHAI KI JAI HO”. Things were clear; BJP was all set to bite the bullet by naming Narendra Modi as Party’s PM candidate. It was not a shock as I was waiting for this announcement for an year or so. At last I felt a ray of hope for the degrading nation at this juncture. Someone, who never carried Gandhi surname finally emerging as the most popular politician of this great nation. Now the question emerges, how NAMO reached this height or how he remains a ‘political chanakya’?

The answer lies within Sangh Parivar, he joined RSS when he was a teen and became first ‘pracharak’, later became Chief Minister of Gujarat, and now, he is the front runner for the PM post. No one can deny the fact that he knows the mood of the voters or simply he have the ability to polarise voters, not in terms of religion as the paid medias say, but on the basis on development- those who want development and those don’t. He stands as a role mole for a billion, to dream big and to achieve the target. There was a time when his own party didn’t support him, post-2002, but 11 years of good governance and his development model proved him to be the best man who could lead this great nation. He may not be given a U.S visa, but world nations including U.K, Japan, china and so on constantly try to build strong relationship. Next Lok Sabha elections will be fought between Congress and NaMo, we have a united sangh parivar with a Congress even struggling to find a Prime ministerial candidate. Soon after the appointment of NaMo as BJP’s PM candidate, things are turning out to be good for BJP with B S Yeddyurappa indicating his return to BJP, with Janata Party merging with BJP and more allies like AIADMK and MNS knocking the door of NDA. With state elections coming closer, the nation is looking at the NaMo effect – To show his magic.

Namo, without any doubt could be called the most cunning politician in INDIA, who knows how to showcase himself or to establish his own brand value. It was in 2007 when Sonia Gandhi committed an error, calling him ‘maut ka saudhagar’ (merchant of death), modi made full advantage of the situation and secured majority in the state election 2007, he followed his victory in 2012 too. Sometimes I wonder whether he pocess a’ jaadu ka jhadi’ or a magic ward. For Gujaratis, Modi is their pride, anyone questioning Modi is questioning their Pride or ‘gaurv’ in Indian terms. There too he overcomes several hurdles, be it 2002 Godhra or fake encounters- he is committed to someone, as he said one
‘ Gujarat ka gharch chukaya hey’
‘ab desh ka kharch jhukana hey’

For the young INDIA it seems #namo is the only option for their bright future. No one listens to their voice- finally there is someone- a ray of hope. It could have been the “Tryst with destiny’ once Nehru said, today finally voice of youth long suppressed finds utterance. We have a destiny, a more charming-written on a neat paper. It was Narendra Modi who gave an equation to Indian youth “I.T + I.T = I.T” , which means “Information technology = INDIA’s talent = INDIA tomorrow “. He is well known for his explosive speeches, targeting his rivals, today all other parties have turned to be a replying maching, who have nothing to say their own, but to give SECULAR-reply to what NaMo says. Now the question arises, how will Namo model do the magic for INDIA. The answer lies within, currently INDIA’s economy is in a state of complete paralysis, but as Gurucharan Das once said “INDIA grows at night when the government sleeps”. Today, INDIA’s GDP is 4.4% with inflation reaching new heights on day to day basis and deficit soaring. We need to have More investments as FII are withdrawing money to invest in America, we have our rupee depleting. NaMo is well known for his Corporate ties, intellectuals may call him a fascist but he is not, for the time being it is all about Private-Public Partnership growth, he organises Vibrant Gujarat once every two years, such initiatives are required for making INDIA a shining one. Modi has been called un-corruptible by the “wiki leaks’, he occupying the highest office will be a boon to the nation ailing from corruption.

Terrorism has been sponsored by Pakistan across the border and our political class have failed completely to save our jawans, Modi arises as a ‘rashtrabhakt’, who what loke and care for each and every crate, that’s what sangh parivar teaches. ‘Vasudeiva Kudumbakom’ or ‘world as a single family’. China has been testing our patience by intruding to our territory. Illegal Bangladeshi migrants are rushing to North-east states, spreading communal violence and hatred between indigenous communities. Political parties are creating new vote banks and finally we have a politician opposing the entire vote bank theory. He has been a lone knight fighting to reach his destiny, he may reach or not, but fight until his last breath. Almost all pre-poll surveys are indicating Probability of Namo becoming PM on a high note. Medias call him polarising, but he is still projected in between the common people as a ‘Yugpurush’ who inherits the courage of ‘lohpurush’ or the man  of steel ( Sardar Vallabh bhai Patel). It was Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam who asked INDIA to dream, I have a dream of an INDIA runned by Narendra Modi ji will all the glories from history to a new Destiny setup before ages.. I could be therafter called,  “THE THRYST WITH DESTINY”

INDEPENDENCE DAY SPEECH - Ganesh NAIR M.G univ

Good Morning to all, first of all, let me express my heartfelt greetings and salutations to all of you on the special occasion of Independence Day. Today, we pay homage to each and every one of those heroes who sacrificed their lives. On the eve of 14th august 1947, INDIA’s first Prime Minister in his speech said, “Long years ago, we made a tryst with destiny, and now, the time comes when we shall redeem our pledge, not wholly or in full measure, but very substantially. At the stroke of the midnight hour, when the whole world sleeps, INDIA will awake to life and freedom”.

India’s dark era started when East Indian Company came to Kolkata in 1760s for trade. They made advantage of the dispute between provinces of Indian subcontinent. Later, they started engulfing our nation. It was later in 1915, after arrival of Gandhi ji. Indian Independence movements stormed like tornado. After lots and lots of agitations, British were forced to leave the country. Today is the day, when we should pay homage to legends like Chandrasekhar Asad, bhagat Singh, Rajguru, netaji and so on, who gave their life for the well being of mother INDIA. Hundreds of common people were massacred by British soldiers, thousands were send to cellular jails of Nicobar islands, but, the quest for freedom never settled nor faded. Finally, after 200 years of colonial rule, INDIA was liberated from ‘COMMONWEALTH COMPARTMENT’.

Now, looking to the post-independence period, we have achieved many things which others envy us for, which include, maintaining unity and integrity, a vibrant democracy, INDIA’s space programme and more importantly our aggressive economy. Today, INDIA is the second fastest growing economy in the world. Our arsenal is filled with emerging SMEs, billion dollar enterprises and larger talent pool. INDIA is accelerated to that destiny, which our founding fathers had set before ages.

Dr. B.R Ambedkar gave the longest written constitution to us. Nehru worked for an Industrialised INDIA. Netaji inducted courage in us. Swami Vivekananda gave us spiritual power. Yes!! With these contributions, INDIA will be the super power in the coming years. Our president Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam called the children of INDIA to dream to build a strong INDIA with aim and innovation. Indeed, this is not the word of a single man, but the word of a billion glittering souls. As he said in his book ‘the ignited minds’, “let me go to dust as a proud citizen of INDIA, to rise again and to rejoice in its glory...

-------------------------------- THANK YOU............... JAI HIND.........

"STAY HUNGRY STAY FOOLISH"

I have been highly inspired and motivated by founder of apple, Steve Jobs, whom I admire for the quest of innovation and simplicity. His speech at the ‘Stanford University’ convocation ceremony gave me a new vision. He led a simple life. Who laid stone for a billion dollar enterprise like apple, which is famous for their innovative products. Now, Apple has its own market share across the globe. Its products are well known for  quality and technological specifications. All chaos and kudos to Steve for his model of development. He was not just an entrepreneur, but a philosopher too. His words had  magnetic power, which could attract the minds of listeners. He was someone who ‘proved that he is worth of talking’. Any aspiring entrepreneur or management studies aspirants show know his life, which was an epic as far as I concern.

Initially he had nothing to start a business. He was not even graduated. He was once admitted to Reed College, but he found no value on it, he escaped from the place. Steve walked 7 miles to go to Hare Krishna temple to have a nice meal once a week. He used to collect the 5 cent deposit on coke bottles and found his daily bread. He had no ‘palace’ to sleep. He slept on the street on ‘wall street’, the same place which saw the bullish Apple shares crossing all marks and crossing the 600$/share. The same street seems to be filled whenever apple launches a new product. Innovation is what apple is driven by; he showed the world that “when driven by dreams and aware of challenges no one can stop you”. Later when he died with pancreatic cancer, he left his foot prints on minds of youth across the globe..
Life wasn’t so romantic for Steve. His misfortune started haunting him even before he was actually born. His biological mother was not married; she later put the kid Steve for adoption. He was adopted by a couple who were of ordinary class. At the age of 19, he along with his friend, made the first computer on apple series, the Macintosh 1 in the garage of his father’s home. Later, after 10 years, apple grew to a billion dollar enterprise and 4000 employees. But, Steve was fired from his own company. But, he didn’t settle, he went on creating two new companies, the Pixar and the next. Pixar went on creating world’s first animated film, ‘the toy story’, later apple bought Pixar and Steve was back on the board. He always emphasised on one thing, ‘have the courage to follow your heart and intrusion’. He asked the youth to love what they do and also to connect the dots looking backward. He said that one should show courage enough to follow his own heart and to believe in, ‘dharma’, ‘self’ or something.

Steve was highly inspired by ‘Stewart Brand’ who created the amazing ‘whole earth catalogue’, which he called the Google in paperback form. It was rich in notations and had neat tools. After the magazine ran out of course, on the final issue, there was a photograph of a long path, underneath it, it was written “stay hungry stay foolish”. These words had deep influence in the personality of Steve. If you have noticed him, launching any i products, he had a simple dress, not like bill gates launching his premium windows products. But Steve created a ding in the universe. What made him an entrepreneur were his mind power and his hard work. Many occasions led him down, but he had the courage to overcome every obstacles. He did it and the world had tears in their eyes when he departed the world. But, though out his life he uttered a single thing, “stay hungry stay foolish”............

GUJARAT's GROWTH Vs MADHYA PRADESH's AGGRESSION

With lok sabha elections one year away (let’s assume) news channels are busy doing their opinion polls and predicting seats for existing and fictitious alliances. Top channels including CNN IBN and TIMES NOW conducted their opinion polls namely ‘election tracker’ and who ‘will form government’. All these surveys predict BJP getting maximum seats and NDA emerging as single largest alliance. Political pundits have forecasted a clean sweep for BJP in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Rajastan. Also BJP with existing allies getting majority of Maharashtra and Punjab. As per TIMES NOW survey Modi remains most popular figure for PM’s post, occupying 38% people’s vote. Rahul Gandhi with 18% and manmohan singh below him. News channels have done a tricky thing this time, to evoke Shiv Raj Singh’s name in the whole ‘MODI’ debate. Thus willing to create war between two tycoons within the sangh parivar. Both chief ministers did their job nicely and they are still popular even after 10 years of occupying power. Madhya Pradesh after poor administration from Digvijay Singh, saw some progress and development in Shiv Raj’s administration in MP. As the state elections are round the corner, there is no question of sangh losing MP.

As per the latest survey did by CNN IBN, Gujarat is expected to give maximum support to BJP, with BJP winning 20-24 seats out of 26 and congress thrashed with 2-6 seats. After 2009 LS polls BJP managed to win 15 and congress 11, but this time congress loose significantly. BJP is expected to get 54% vote share and congress 36 down 9% from last time. BJP with modi magic did nice work in the state, even after the disastrous 2001 bhuj earth quake, Gujarat witnessed drastic development under leadership of sangh. Also, BJP projecting Modi this time will polarise vote for them, even congress supporters finding it really hard, not to vote for MODI. In Madhya Pradesh BJP is expected to get 21-26 seats, and congress expected to get 2-6 and others 0-4 seats out of 29 LS seats. There ought to be a substantial decline in BSP vote share as the party will surely lose its OBC vote bank to BJP. As the lok sabha elections are contested between national parties, BSP with its minimal support cannot be a game changer this time. With BJP expected to bag 50% of votes up from 43 in previous LS polls and Congress losing to BJP and getting 34% vote share. Traditional hindu upper caste vote bank will support BJP this time too.

Thus BJP-fied states will kick congress out of the parliament. Even without proper alliance. Thus bagging 3/4th of these states, BJP can emerge with almost 46 seats out of 55, BJP and the alliance is short of 226 seats. Bagging 40-45 seats in UP and improving the tally in Rajastan, Bihar and south India. South may give more allies to BJP. Thus prior to 2014 LS polls, these are chance for a debate over Gujarat’s growth and MP’s aggression. Common people will vote for the sustainability of model they prefer.

NAMO CHARGE: REVIVAL OF BJP IN UTTAR PRADESH

2014 Lok Sabha elections will not be a cake walk for the ruling alliance, as the country is suffering from all these economic contradictions. Where GDP is low, inflation is high and rupee is losing its strength, where domestic brands loose all the horns. The countdown has started, as per the reports political parties are not willing for a mid-term polls. Election is expected to happen in April 2014. National channels have begun doing sample surveys, as the election commission is planning to ban pre-polls. Might do everything to save the ruling alliance. The most interesting state to watch out is Uttar Pradesh, where all major parties BJP, Congress, BSP and SP come on neck n neck. The land is often referred to as the heartland of hindutva, which saw the rise of sangh parivar and fall of BJP after Vajpyee era. The state is critical for BJP, as it provides 80 MPs to the parliament. The state has seen the worst kind of administration by the samajwadi goons, after Akhilesh Yadav occupied the seat of CM. Where his men and minister Raja Bhaiya was booked for the murder of a policemen. We have seen an aggressive Mulayam, Mayawati and congress fighting for the Muslim vote bank, leaving the Hindu upper caste with no choice but to be with sangh, which will fuel the prospective of Narendra Modi.

As per the latest survey done by CNN IBN and THE HINDU, BJP is expected to bag 29-33 seats is the elections were held today, 17-21 seats for SP and 14-18 seats for BSP leaving congress in forth spot with 11-14 seats. BJP is expected to get 27% votes, +9% from what they got in 2009 LS polls. Well, BJP is found as the single party which can maintain law and order in the state which see communal clashes and goonda giri on a day by day basis. This vote share rise is in a time when BJP is finding it difficult to project NAMO as its face. It will be a jackpot for them if they project Modi, but they did a sample test as they appointed Amit Shah as in charge of UP. He made few comments on Ram Mandir and hindutva, as the statics show it will have an impact. Re induction of Kalyan Singh will have some impact on few provinces. Narendra Modi contesting from Lucknow or Varanasi will help to polarise hindu votes and development model Modi proposes will inspire the youth (between 18-35 age group). As the SP lacks development credentials, they will have to emphasis on their traditional muslim vote bank. On the same poll, BJP with 28% was considered the party with most developmental ideas. As the Samajwadi Party supplies freebies, including laptops and tablets, it shrinks states economy and proving scholarships for minorities will have a negative impact on students from general category.

Revoking Ram temple issue will not harm BJP but will not give an advantage this time, instead they should focus on giving the public the real damage caused by the Gandhi family and the UPA government. They should make public aware of the fact that both SP and BSP, in the name of secularism supported the central govt, when they introduced all those anti-people schemes. Mayawati recently questioned Allahabad HC verdict to ban caste based rallies. But she still wants RSS and VHP to get banned, for which she will have to pay. Mulayam singh yadav will have to shed his prime Ministerial dreams for the time being. The third front will not be a reality this time, but this will surely fulfil India’s dream to see a great administrator emerging from Lord Ram’s ‘punya bhoomi’.
